“Lecture by a Person in Charge of International Exchange at Technische Universitat Darmstadti” Held
On May 12, 2014 (Mon.), a “Lecture by a Person in Charge of International Exchange at Technische Universitat Darmstadt” was held at Center for Multimedia System, Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT).
The lecture was delivered by Ms. Pia Schmitt, International Exchange Coordinator of Technische Universitat Darmstadt (TUD), Germany, who gave a lecture on the introduction of TUD and the student exchange program. We concluded an academic exchange agreement with TUD on September 20, 2006 and have had active exchanges, such as accepting 4–5 students from TUD and dispatching approximately three students from NUT every year.
On that day, a total of about 30 people attended the lecture, including international students from TUD and students who had an interest in studying abroad, in addition to NUT teaching staff, and listened intently to Ms. Schmitt’s talk. Students actively asked questions, exhibiting their eagerness for study abroad.
In addition, before the lecture, she had an informal meeting to exchange opinions of international exchange with Dr. Muto, Executive Director and Vice President, and Prof. Ohta, Department of Mechanical Engineering (who is in charge of the academic exchange agreement between TUD and NUT).
