Joint Session in Mexico Held on Universidad de Guanajuato
A joint session of the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) – San Francisco Office, Universidad de Guanajuato, and Nagaoka University of Technology was held on Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Universidad de Guanajuato on September 19, 2015.
More than 50 graduate students from Universidad de Guanajuato participated in the session, in addition to other participants, including the following: Dr. Vega Corona, General Director of the Council for Science and Technology of the State of Guanajuato; Dr. Hector, Director of Guanajuato Tecno Parque; Dr. Camarena, Director of Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, Universidad de Guanajuato; Dr. Izutsu, Director of JSPS – San Francisco Office; and Dr. Mikami, Executive Director and Vice President of NUT. Under the theme of “Japan–Mexico Global Innovation on Practical Engineering Education and Research in University–Company–Government Cooperation”, it became a very active session.
At the session, the coordinator of NUT’s “GIGAKU Techno Park” explained NUT and “GIGAKU Techno Park” in Spanish. Meaningful exchanges of information were conducted.
We will continue to develop “GIGAKU Techno Park Strategy,” enhancing the cooperation with organizations concerned.
