Holding of the Second External Evaluation Committee Meeting.
On June 15, 2017, the Second External Evaluation Committee Meeting for the Inter-University Exchange Project (Mexico) was held at a conference room in Minato City, Tokyo. This External Evaluation Committee was established to conduct as-needed inspections/assessments of the project’s achievement status during its period of implementation (FY2015–FY2019) and to enhance the project’s activities. This second meeting follows the first meeting held on October 8, 2016.
FY2017 marks the midway point of this project, and the meeting was conducted prior to the interim assessment by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. The committee members comprised Mexican embassy officials, representatives of Japanese companies, and staff from institutes such as universities. During the meeting, there were lively discussions regarding the activities conducted in the first half of the project and issues that still needed addressing. The External Evaluation Committee members provided highly thought-provoking and valuable advice for further development of the project.
These meetings will continue to be conducted periodically together with self-assessments, thereby supporting the continued enhancement of the project.
