Special Lecture by teachers from the University of York

On February 17, Tuesday, as part of the Inter-University Exchange Project (Indo-Pacific), we were pleased to host a special lecture featuring Prof. Gavin Kearney and Dr. Michael McLaughlin from our partner institution, the University of York in the UK.

During the session, the professors introduced their cutting-edge research and the unique characteristics of the AudioLab at the University of York. The event attracted a diverse audience, including both Japanese and international students, leading to a dynamic and engaging Q&A session.

The lecture was also attended by exchange students currently studying at our university from our partner institutions, the University of York and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM). This collaborative exchange further strengthened the tripartite network that this project aims to establish between the three universities.

Following this visit and lecture, we expect the mutual exchange between our university, the University of York, and IITM to develop even further. We will continue to promote such research exchanges and advance the Inter-University Exchange Project to foster global talent and strengthen the international capacity of our university education.
