Roundtable Discussion with Overseas Internship Participants Held

A roundtable discussion with students who participated in overseas internships was held on Tuesday, April 14.

At the beginning of the session, a student, who completed his internship at the Indian Institutes of Technology Madras--one of our partner institutions under the Inter-University Exchange Project --reported on his training activities and daily life India. In his presentation, he highlighted the strong motivation of Indian students toward research and the lively discussions that take place on a daily basis. He also shared his experiences participating in local festivals and interacting with local people, as well as insights into the living environment and cultural practices, including dietary habits. His report provided valuable information on studying and living in a different cultural setting.

Following that, a student who undertook his internship at a venture company affiliated with the Romanian-American University, presented an overview of his training and introduced basic information about Romania, including everyday meals, transportation, and living conditions. During his internship, he had opportunities to visit the Embassy of Japan in Romania and a Japanese company operating. He further reported on his engagement in a wide range of activities, such as volunteering related to Japanese culture and participating in a karate club locally.

During the roundtable discussion held after their presentations, many students actively asked questions, showing a strong interest in overseas internships. For the participating students, the event offered a valuable opportunity to hear directly from senior students about living conditions abroad, necessary expenses, and the atmosphere of the host countries.
