Student Exchange Event Held with Indian Students
July 01, 2026
On Friday, June 19, our students hosted a Student Exchange Event of the "Inter-University Exchange Project". This gathering served as a strategic platform for cross-cultural connection, fostering a sophisticated dialogue between students with deep roots in the program and those preparing to start their international journeys.
The participant groups included Japanese students who have previously completed their exchange program at IIT Madras, Japanese students scheduled for dispatch to India during the current academic year, international students from India currently enrolled and studying at our university, and past participants currently living in India, who contributed to the dialogue via online.
This event allowed senior students to share their advice and support the next group of students. It was held both in-person and online, connecting people from different countries. While talking, everyone enjoyed real Indian food in a bright and professional atmosphere.
The discussion focused on real everyday life in India, including local customs, shopping, and daily tips that only residents know. Moreover, thanks to the hybrid system, students going abroad could introduce themselves directly to those in India, making a quick personal connection through the screen. A coordinator from our India office also joined online for part of the event to answer student inquiries regarding visas and travel procedures.
This event was very helpful for students before their departure. It changed their worries into excitement for studying at IIT Madras. It was also a great chance to build a helpful network for future international students.
Moving forward, we will continue using the "Inter-University Exchange Project" to improve our global connection. Through great partnerships like the one with IIT Madras, we are ready to help students develop the skills they need to work globally.
