Japanese Course

NUT provides various opportunities for international students to learn Japanese language as well as Japanese culture.

On-campus Japanese Courses

Guidance and placement tests are held every April and September.
* Students who wish to take a Japanese course must attend and take the test.

1. Japanese Regular Courses (with Credits)

NUT offers Japanese Language Course and General Affairs of Japan for international students (both undergraduate and graduate students). Since General Affairs of Japan I-2 (second semester) is conducted in English, no Japanese language proficiency is required. For details, please refer to the PDF file below.

2. Japanese Language Program (Non-Credit)

NUT offers Japanese language courses for all international students, including both regular and non-regular students. Students who wish to enroll must attend the International Student Guidance held in April or September, as well as the very first class. For details, please refer to the PDF file below.

 2.1 Japanese Language Courses for family members of international students

Family members accompanying an international student in Japan may enroll in NUT’s Japanese Language Program for a fee (JPY 14,800; subject to change), provided that space is available. Family members who wish to enroll must attend the International Student Guidance held in April or September, as well as the very first class.   
* Enrollment is available only if space remains in the class.
