　On May 27 (Wed.), Vice-Chancellor Prof. DATO’Omar Osman and Prof. Wan Ahmad Kamil Mahmood, Dean of School of Chemical Science of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) paid a courtesy call on President Dr. Niihara.
　They had a meeting regarding interactive students and faculty exchange and strategy of Collaborative research with Dr. Niihara, Vice President Prof. Azuma, Prof. Suematsu (Nuclear System Safety Engineering) and Prof. Kobayashi (Science of Technology Innovation).We’ve also exchanged the information and opinions about GIGAKU Techno park network intensely.
　Since the conclusion of the agreement in October 2005, NUT and USM have continued to be actively engaged in exchange, including mutual exchange of students and holding joint symposium. We plan to expand collaborative activities further in the future.
