Participants in the 10th International Forum “FISINNCO 2015” Held in Guanajuato State, Mexico

2015.10.07

On September 17 and 18, 2015, Foro Internacional Sistemas de Innovacion para la Competitividad 2015 (FISINNCO 2015) was held in the State of Guanajuato, Mexico, cosponsored by the state government agencies, including the Science and Technology Council of the State of Guanajuato, and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS). Nagaoka University of Technology set up a booth for GIGAKU Techno Park.
On the occasion of holding of the forum, Dr. Vega Corona, General Director of the Council for Science and Technology of the State of Guanajuato, Mr. Shimizu, Minister of the Embassy of Japan in Mexico, and Dr. Izutsu, Director of JSPS – San Francisco Office, made their speeches on the development of engineers through cooperation between Japan and Mexico and other topics. From NUT, Dr. Mikami, Executive Director and Vice President, gave a presentation on the 400-year history of relations between Japan and Mexico and the meaning of “GIGAKU.” Many students, including local high school students, visited NUT’s GIGAKU Techno Park booth. Three internship students who were being dispatched to Universidad de Guanajuato explained NUT and actively communicated with students of their generation.
Six Japanese-owned companies that NUT invited developed technology marketing in their exhibition booths and provided their feedback, which helped their own brands to become widely known. Because many Japanese-owned companies presented exhibits, local government agencies expressed their gratitude for NUT’s global strategies.
NUT will continue to make efforts to develop practical, global engineers through industry–academia–government cooperation at home and abroad.
Finally, we would like to take this opportunity to thank all companies that approved the objectives of the forum and hosted booths at the event.
