Nagaoka Summer School for Young Engineers (NASSYE) was established.

Nagaoka University of Technology established the “Nagaoka Summer School for Young Engineers (NASSYE)” as a new program for accepting short-term international students starting in 2016. The NASSYE school is available for students who are in their junior or senior year or master’s course at an overseas university or students in polytechnical colleges.

The summer school is designed to offer students experience in technological innovation in Japan, learning the Nagaoka University of Technology environment, and also its living environment by letting them participate in training courses based on the theme set by Nagaoka University of Technology, or by taking students on a study tour of companies and other facilities. This year, the program accepted 21 students from 8 countries for the events held during the 10 days of Monday, August 22 through Tuesday, August 31.

Furthermore, a reporting workshop by the respective students was convened on the last day of the training course.
