2017.11.29

Nagaoka University of Technology declared a commitment for support and promotion of “Ten basic principles of United Nations Academic Impact”.

The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was adopted by world leaders at the United Nations. In accordance with the SDGs, NUT organized the international conference of 1st STI-Gigaku on January 2017, and more than 100 KOSEN and university students participated in it and developed discussions. Furthermore, United Nations expected the future plan of the 2nd STI-Gigaku on October 2017, and highly evaluated our activities. As a result, the participation of NUT for United Nations Academic Impact was approved on September 2017.

NUT strongly agrees United Nations activities. To support their activities, we are highly aware of a role to play in higher education institutions and promote active approaches.
