On February 18 (Thu), Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) and National Institute of Technology, Nagaoka College organized "The 2nd SDG Talk Seminar" in a hybrid format on-site (Nagaoka City Hall AORE) and online in collaboration with the Nagaoka Association of Engineering.
On the day of the event, a total of 130 people participated both on-site and online including many online participants from outside Niigata Prefecture. The event was a great success.
We received positive feedback from the participants such as "It was good to start with the results of the awareness survey and learn about students' proposals, examples from companies and the current state of education all at once," and "It was good to learn about examples of initiatives in Niigata Prefecture."
Also received some valuable comments for future lectures such as "I would like to have a longer question and answer session."
As the global hub university of UNAI (United Nations Academic Impact) SDG 9, NUT will continue to promote the SDGs widely to Nagaoka citizens and many others and conduct activities that contribute to the achievement of the SDGs as well as research, technological development, and education that will create innovations for contribution in society.
