On September 23 (Fri.) and 24 (Sat.), Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT) held a forum titled “Reshaping Education through Innovation and Technology (REIT)” in collaboration with the Romanian-American University (RAU) and Babes-Bolyai University (BBU) in Romania, and the Embassy of Japan in Romania. This second session of the Forum was held in the senate chamber of the parliament of Romania and adopted a hybrid format, with online participation.
The opening session on the first day was attended by representatives from the Romanian Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digitalization, RAU, NUT, and others, and each of the attendees made opening remarks. Next, a representative from Hanyang University in Korea gave a keynote speech. The second day consisted of research presentations on topics such as information technology, business innovation and entrepreneurship, digitization of management processes, and e-learning.
We have set up two offices in Romania—in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca—and are focusing on education in fields such as digital transformation. We will continue to develop this educational exchange in collaboration with the two Romanian universities.
