Holding of the 5th Term Student SDGs Promoter Appointment Ceremony and Promoter Meeting

On Wednesday, May 8th, the appointment ceremony for the 5th term Student SDGs Promoters for the 2024 academic year was held. Student SDGs Promoters are appointed to work with faculty and staff to encourage students to think freely about activities to achieve SDGs. It is a student organization for promoting dissemination and awareness of SDGs both on and off the campus.

A total of 29 students, including 20 international students and 9 Japanese students, ranging from undergraduate to doctoral students, were appointed as 5th term Student SDGs Promoters. At the appointment ceremony, Prof Nanko, Director of the SDGs Promotion Office, handed a letter of commission to each of them.

After the appointment ceremony, the participants were divided into small groups to exchange opinions on future SDGs Promoter Activities, making presentations about the situation in countries other than Japan and ideas unique to students. This meeting has further strengthened cooperation among promoters and is expected to stimulate SDGs Promotion Activities based on the students' ideas.

Our university will continue to work as one to promote initiatives to achieve the SDGs.
