NUT held Homecoming Day 2024

更新日:2024年9月20日

NUT held Homecoming Day 2024 on Saturday, September 14, 2024 as part of 50th Anniversary Commemorative Project. The purpose of Homecoming Day is to deepen the interaction and friendship between alumni who have been supporting and cooperating with our university, current students, and faculty and staff, as well as to provide an opportunity to view the university campus. This year marks the fourth time NUT has held this event.

The day began with a welcome address from President Kamado, followed by greetings from Mr. Hironobu Isobe, the Alumni Association President, and Dr. Kiyoshi Ohishi, the Vice President of the Honorary Professors' Association.

Following the addresses, as part of the 50th anniversary celebration, a special lecture on dental materials and dental treatment was held by Mr. Hideki Kazama (graduate of the Materials Science and President of Tokuyama Dental Corporation) titled "Working Means Making Others' Lives Easier: The Challenge of an Engineer Aiming for Innovative Dental Materials Development". Following the lecture, a panel talk was held where four panelists shared their thoughts on the 50th anniversary. The panelists expressed their hopes, saying, "I hope the students will remain unique and exceptional," and "I don't want it to be an ordinary university. I look forward to seeing where it will show its originality."

The event was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, allowing attendees to reunite with old friends and mentors, as well as spend time on the campus with good memories. We would like to thank everyone who visited our university.

Our university will continue to deepen the interaction and friendship among alumni members (graduates, former faculty, and staff) and strengthen our network.
