Visit to the Basque Nanoscience Cooperative Research Center (CIC nanoGUNE)

On Tuesday, March 19, Prof. Nakayama, Department of Science of Technology Innovation of Nagaoka University of Technology, visited the Basque Nanoscience Cooperative Research Center (CIC nanoGUNE). nanoGUNE is a world-renowned laboratory in nanotechnology. Although the Basque Country was on public holiday, four researchers gave presentations and tours of the Center, including the laboratory equipment.

Currently, one undergraduate student of Nagaoka University of Technology is sent to the Center every year as a practical trainee. During this fruitful visit, we reached an MOU (Memorandum of Understanding) with the Center on the acceptance of research internship trainees of the WISE Program. The Center also expressed interest in the development of a graduate-level educational program in consortium with other universities in Basque Country.
