  • The strongest combination of machine and electric!
  • Let’s control various machines and complex mechanism!
  • Let’s talk about the progress of today!

Professor / MIYAZAKI Toshimasa, Assistant Professor / PADRON PARRAGA JUAN VICENTE, Technical Staff / YOSHIDA Yuta
Prof. Miyazaki has been working at the university since 2010 and established the Mechatronics Laboratory. In the laboratory, the exchange of opinions and information among students is especially important, and the professor is also very accommodating and responsive to consultations.

Research Content

Mechatronics is the fusion of machinery(mechanics)and electricity(electronics)and the field of control engineering. In modern times, mechanical and electrical elements are inseparable. For example, when moving a robot arm, the movement of the arm requires a mechanical element, and the motor for driving force requires an electric element. Currently, our laboratory is studying electric transporter, industrial AC motors, Solar power systems, quadruped walking robots reproducing human muscle structures, and so on. Our laboratory is engaged in research to control these electrical and mechanical elements at will.

Industrial Articulated Robot

A Day in the Lab

At the weekly report meeting, discuss the progress of the research and research plan.
~stream of time in a day~
9:30 There is a morning meeting.
In the morning, study and simulate research.
12:00 We eat lunch at school cafeteria or shop.
13:00 From the afternoon, we make experimental machines and experiment.
18:00 For dinner, we eat out with my friends.
Share the day’s events.
We come home after thinking about tomorrow’s schedule.
