Global Pro-Active Root Technology Program
Global Pro-Active Root Technology Program
This program aims to produce professionals with profound knowledge of fundamental technology, which is the basis of industries related to the intermix of materials science and power engineering. This program will contribute to solution of SDGs and nourish the following four categories of international-level faculties;
1. Pioneering power in academic fieldswhere doctoral researchers cultivate their original research ideas
2. Leading-edge IT capacitywhere knowledge continuously progresses instead of impromptu cramming
3. Pioneering human powerwhere unknown areas are explored through broad human networks
4. Social implementation and execution abilitieswhere challenges facing industries are solved
Top Global University Project
In our TGU project, “The Education Program for Innovative Global Engineers ~ Toward development of an integrated global campus with collaboration between industry, academia, and government ~,” we are looking toward the globalization of the Japan's economy in the future, we design "the university leading innovative global engineering education with strong network among world-leading strategic regions in the next-generation" as an element of our vision in 10 years, we implement the vision by the pillars as follows;
1. Promoting KOSEN-University of Technology (GIGAKU) Education and Research Model at next-generation strategic regions and establishing "GIGAKU Education and Research Network"
2. Promoting Industry-Academia Cooperation Model at overseas strategic regions and establishing "GIGAKU Techno Park Network"
3. Promoting a world-leading research in the technical field that meets the demands of global society
- The 4th Panel on GIGAKU Education was held

- The 5th GTP Alliance Meeting was held
- NUT held first GIGAKU Advisory Board
- The 4th GTP Alliance Meeting was held
- “The 7th International GIGAKU Conference in Nagaoka (IGCN 2018)” was held
Global Academia-Industry Consortium for Collaborative Education (GAICCE)
Global Academia-Industry Consortium for Collaborative Education
GAICCE was established in the framework of JICA AUN/SEED-Net Collaborative Education Program (CEP). CEP allows institutes to set up a consortium in collaboration with Japanese universities and other ASEAN universities to work with industry. GAICEE supports double degree program students with scholarship from AUN/SEED-Net, and promotes mobility of students, faculty, and staff.
Through this GAICCE program, we support international students of ASEAN region, furthermore, we create sustainable cooperative environment more multidisciplinarily and multilaterally utilizing GTP network and NUT’s education program.
This program is expected to form strong SDGs networking in Japan and ASEAN countries through the research and academic collaborations.
- 1st GAICCE Alliance Meeting was held
- Global Academia-Industry Consortium for Collaborative Education (GAICCE) Program Kick-off Symposium was held at Chulalongkorn University
