　On August 26 (Wed.), the Commencement Ceremony was held at SECOM Hall. President Dr. Niihara conferred degrees on representatives of the undergraduate graduates and of each major of master’s program graduates, doctoral program graduates, and a dissertation doctorate graduate.
　At the ceremony, President Dr. Niihara offered inspiring words for graduates: “I want you to be proud of the learning, research, and close camaraderie with fellow students and teachers that you cultivated at Nagaoka University of Technology throughout your life and hope that you carve out the path that you should go, looking always to the future.”
　Eight undergraduate students, 28 master’s program students, 11 doctoral program students, and one dissertation doctorate student earned their degrees. The ceremony was attended by more than 100 people including family members and friends of the graduates, in addition to the President, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, and other persons involved in NUT.
