We are researching about "thermoelectric material" and "heat storage material". Currently, a lot of energy is wasted as heat.Taking a car as an example, about 70% of the energy in gasoline is released to the environment as heat and is not effectively utilized. Thermoelectric materials can convert thermal energy directly into electrical energy, thus it can generate electricity from waste heat. We are also studying vanadium dioxide (VO2) that is a latent heat storage material. This material is a promising material for thermal management in electronic devices.
