Research Content

Our laboratory focuses on electrochemistry and conducts research on environment and energy.
【CO2 reduction】
Developed a new electrode catalyst for reducing carbon dioxide, we aim to achieve both CO2 reduction and power generation as a fuel cells.
【Lithium ion secondary battery】
We have been investigating the behavior of lithium ion cells degradations by storing or charge/discharge cycling the cells under high and low temperature environments.
【Organic Electronic Devices】
In order to improve the performance of organic electronic devices, we have been preparing organic-semiconductor single crystals and studying their high-speed switch characteristics.

A single cell is assembled, and CO2 reduction is performed with this device.

A Day in the Lab

We set the schedule on their own in our laboratory. In a seminar, the students perform a progress report of the research. In the other seminar, the students introduce the research paper. We deepen the understanding of the research through the discussion with Professors and students. Outside of the research, there are many events such as fireworks festival and welcome party of new students in our laboratory. We are very friendly each other. Students often goes to drink (weekly). All the students spend meaningful laboratory life.

We go to see the fireworks at the Nagaoka Festival every year‼

  • (M)Clarification of CO2 reduction reaction on noble metal catalysts using surface enhanced infrared absorption spectroscopy.
  • (M)Evaluation of hole injection property of the interface between Au electrode and triphenylamine derivative.
