Research Content
In our laboratory, we conduct research on photobleaching of cotton, snow bleaching of Japanese paper, and molecular simulation for polymer materials. We aim to develop an environmentally friendly cotton bleaching process without chlorine-based chemicals. We also investigate structural and chemical changes in kozo fibers caused by traditional snow bleaching in Nagaoka City. In addition, we develop simulation methods to design new polymer blend materials and improve polymer performance.

A Day in the Lab
Our laboratory has a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere, where students can communicate openly with one another regardless of seniority. In the weekly seminar, we give progress reports and present English research papers related to our own research topics to deepen our understanding of our studies. Since there are no strictly defined core hours, maintaining a good balance between research and personal life is important.
