Prof. Itoh loves sake and power electronics. Students call him "Jun-chan" when we drink sake together. He is a delightful teacher who enjoys sharing sake with his students at laboratory events. Of course, he is serious about research. He is always available for consultation when we are stuck in our research and gives us precise advice.

Research Content

Power Electronics is an important key to solving global warming and energy issues. It enables the efficient use of electrical energy and is applied in various applications, including industrial equipment, electric vehicles, and home appliances.
The Itoh labo. is engaged in research on power electronics core technologies, such as power converters, motor drives, and wireless power transmission, and on smart grids that focus on renewable energy generation. We actively participate in national and international conferences to present our research results. The Itoh Lab. is one of the most active laboratories in the world, and a leading in the power electronics field!

A Day in the Lab

The Itoh Lab.'s motto is to give your all, both in research and on holidays. Work when it's time to work and rest when it's time to rest. A variety will lead good research results.
The Itoh Lab. provides ideal research environment as it is easy to discuss with Prof. Itoh and senior students, and the experimental facilities are well equipped. We are able to do everything by ourselves, not only simulation but also the creation circuit and control software and experiments!
On holidays, we often go to the beach, skiing and camping with Prof. Itoh. Let's enjoy together!
