President of Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico, and His Party Visit Nagaoka University of Technology

On June 17, 2014 (Tue.), President Dr. Dieck-Assad and Prof. Mariela Gonzalez of Universidad de Monterrey, Mexico, visited Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT).

The party had a preliminary discussions related to the expansion of exchanges in the future with Dr. Niihara (President), Dr. Muto (Executive Director and Vice President), Dr. Mikami (Vice President), and teachers in charge of exchange. Additionally, they had a friendly talk with students who had graduated from Universidad de Monterrey (UDEM) and who are currently studying at NUT through the Twinning Program.

Since an academic exchange agreement was concluded in 2004, NUT has conducted active exchanges with UDEM. In June 2014, the Mexican base for Tri-Institutional Collaborative/ Cooperative Educational Reform Projects, which NUT, Toyohashi University of Technology, and Institute of National Collages of Technology, Japan are implementing cooperatively, was established within UDEM.
