Professor / NAKAHIRA Katsuko,T.
Prof. NAKAHIRA is a cheerful and approachable supervisor who always listens carefully to students’ concerns and ideas. Her warm personality and great sense of humor create a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the laboratory. Research Content

Our laboratory focuses on research related to cognitive architecture, aiming to scientifically understand how human cognitive activities are carried out. We reproduce cognitive processes through simulation and analyze the characteristics of information processing to reveal actual cognitive behavior. In addition to cognitive architecture, we also conduct research on related topics in cognitive psychology from various perspectives. Students and faculty work closely together, engaging in active discussions to deepen their understanding. We also participate in academic conferences and international symposiums, staying up to date with the latest research trends and sharing our findings broadly.

A Day in the Lab

Our laboratory has a bright and friendly atmosphere where students can freely communicate with seniors regardless of year or grade. Students are encouraged to conduct research independently and take initiative in their own projects. At the same time, a supportive environment is in place where anyone can consult supervisors or senior students whenever they face difficulties. We hold both a group seminar and individual seminars once a week, providing regular opportunities to discuss progress and receive feedback. There is no core time, so students can manage their own schedules flexibly.
