Associate Professor Zhang insists on putting her faith in research and is adept at generating innovative ideas. She is passionate about helping students and giving them personalized guidance on their research. In addition, Associate Professor Zhang looks forward to bringing positive energy to all students. Assistant Professor Feng focuses on product safety, risk analysis, and knowledge-based safety management. Assistant Professor Feng studies the transformation of accident databases into knowledge bases using ontology and data-driven approaches, integrating Safety-I and Safety-II perspectives.
Research Content
We are interested in the analysis and utilization of various data in the field of safety. For example, we can extract keywords and lexical relationships from redundant descriptive text in product accident databases. We provide product designers and market surveillance departments with useful information obtained by building domain knowledge ontology models.
A Day in the Lab
The Friday seminars are the regular lecture series for all students. The seminar consists of two sessions: Research progress report session and English free exchange session. The lab members are always friendly and helpful, and it was easy to communicate with each others.
