The research team led by Fairoza Amira Binti Hamzah (graduated the Information Science and Control Engineering, NUT in March 2019), produced a research paper titled “CoronaTracker: World-wide COVID-19 Outbreak Data Analysis and Prediction”, which is aimed to predict and forecast COVID-19 cases, deaths, and recoveries using predictive modelling. The team also worked to decipher patterns on public sentiment related to health information dissemination.
The paper has been published in the World Health Organization's bulletin and has been featured in the media of her home country, Malaysia.
