This project aims to nurture the development of leading engineers with practical and creative skills, promote the revitalization of local industries, and contribute to innovation creation for the attainment of SDGs. To accomplish these aims, the project will advance initiatives to achieve NUT’s Future Vision, and establish facilities to promote intellectual, regional, and international exchanges that bring together students, faculty, staff, alumni, companies, and local governments.
Main uses of the fund

Development of open space facilities (Innovation Commons) where students, faculty, staff, company representatives, local government officials, and alumni can gather and freely engage in intellectual, regional, and international exchanges

Donations through credit cards
Donations can be made through credit cards. Please make a donation using by this method. Please select “50th Anniversary Commemorative Project” for the use of your donation (project type).

Presentation of a letter of appreciation
Individuals who donate 50,000 yen or more and companies/organizations that donate 300,000 yen or more during an academic year (April to March) will be presented with a letter of appreciation from Nagaoka University of Technology.
Recognition on donor plaques
Donors’ names will be displayed on different-colored plaques based on their cumulative donation amounts. Please refer to the table below for the plaque colors. The donor plaque is planned to be installed in the Innovation Commons that we will develop in the future. We would like to engrave your name on it. We kindly ask for your support.

Donations to Nagaoka University of Technology are eligible for tax deductions.
The receipt for tax deduction will be sent to donors whose address is in Japan.
For Individuals
Income tax deductions|The deductible amount is calculated according to the tax rate multiplied by the donated amount.
For donations exceeding 2,000 yen, the donated amount minus 2,000 yen can be deducted from that year’s income. However, this is limited to an amount that does not exceed 40% of the donor’s gross income.
※ To receive this tax incentive, please include your donation receipt when filing your tax return at the tax office.
Resident tax deductions
For donors residing in Niigata prefecture on January 1st in the year after making the donation, the donated amount (up to 30% of their gross income) can be deducted from their prefectural tax. Donors may also be eligible for tax deductions from municipal tax in their municipality of residence. As the laws can vary among the different municipalities, please contact your municipal government for more details.
