A kick-off meeting for the Inter-University Exchange Project was held

On December 16 (Friday), a kick-off meeting was held for the “International Cooperative Educational Program using Dual Internship on Multidimensional Campus”, which was selected as an Inter-University Exchange Project (Support for Creation of Inter-University Exchanges in the Indo-Pacific Region).
In this project, Nagaoka University of Technology will work in collaboration with the University of York and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras to establish and operate a multidimensional (physical, remote, and virtual) campus as an international cooperative platform for education and research. The project will also implement dual internships that combine different locations and multiple content.
After President Kamado’s opening address, Professor Yukio Miyashita (Department of Mechanical Engineering) presented an outline of the project. Thereafter, Professor Atsufumi Hirohata (University of York), Professor Rajappa Gnanamoorthy (Indian Institute of Technology Madras), and Ms. Norie Kobayashi Krishnapillai (Coordinator, IITM-NUT Desk) gave overviews of their universities and explained the status of international exchanges and internships.
Lastly, the attendees discussed the future developments of the project and inter-university exchanges.
Going forward, Nagaoka University of Technology will take center stage in this partnership of three universities to promote inter-university exchanges and further advance the project.
