NUT 50th Anniversary Commemorative Fireworks Project

Thank you for being a part of the Nagaoka University of Technology legacy.

This year, 2026, marks a historic milestone—the 50th Anniversary of NUT. To celebrate five decades of global innovation and the incredible achievements of our graduates worldwide, we are planning to launch a special, dedicated fireworks display.

This commemorative fireworks display will be launched during the world-famous Nagaoka Fireworks Festival (Nagaoka Matsuri) this August, one of the most prestigious and spectacular fireworks events in Japan.

We are currently entering the final phase of our fundraising campaign to make this project a reality. We would be deeply grateful for the support of our international alumni community to help us cross the finish line and celebrate this milestone together.

Project Overview

• Event: NUT 50th Anniversary Commemorative Fireworks (Launched during the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival)

• Target: Final push to reach our fundraising goal!

• Minimum Donation: Contributions start from 1,000 JPY.

Important Notes (Please Read Before Donating)

• No Tax Incentives: Please note that contributions to this fireworks project are classified as event sponsorship and are handled differently from regular donations to a national university. Therefore, these contributions are not eligible for tax deductions or tax incentives.

• No Receipts Issued: We do not issue official tax receipts for this project.

• For Residents Outside of Japan: If you are residing outside of Japan, please complete your payment using a credit card, Google Pay, or Apple Pay through the online secure form.

Special Recognition & Rewards for Alumni

1. Name Listing (For All Donors): Your name can be listed on the official NUT website to celebrate your continuous bond with the university. (You can also choose to remain anonymous via the Google Form).

2. Fireworks Ticket Lottery (Restricted to Residents in Japan): Donors have a chance to win premium viewing tickets to watch the Nagaoka Fireworks Festival.

   1. Strict Requirement: Because the physical tickets will be mailed in advance, this lottery is strictly limited to individuals who currently reside in Japan and have a valid Japanese mailing address.

How to Donate

The online payment system (Congrant) supports international credit cards and mobile payments. Please follow these four simple steps:

2. Switch to English: Look for the language translation button/dropdown at the top right of the page to switch the form to English.

3. Complete the Payment: Select your donation amount, enter your details, and submit.
