Nagaoka University of Technology is hosting students from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras and the Indian Institute of Information Technology Design & Manufacturing Kancheepuram during a three-month period from December 2017 to February 2018.

In addition to aiding the visiting students in their everyday education and research activities, the program also aims to increase their awareness toward Japan’s industries. Accordingly, eight students from the program accompanied several of Nagaoka University of Technology’s international students to visit Niigata Thermal Power Station, Tohoku Electric Power Co., Inc. and Hokuriku Heavy Industries, Ltd. on the 11th of January. The participating students eagerly listened to the presentations at both companies and proactively asked numerous questions, which demonstrated the significance of these visits.
